Koji Hatakeyama piece 'Eight Faces' now on display at the British Museum

We are delighted to announce that 'Eight faces' by Koji Hatakeyama, 2023,  patinated cast bronze, gold leaf, H26.5 x W14 x D14 cm is now on display at The British Museum. The work was gifted to the Museum by the Artist and Katie Jones after the piece had won the '2023 Asian Art in London award for An Outstanding Modern & Contemporary Work of Art'. 

This beautiful piece is currently on display in The Mitsubishi Corporation Japanese Galleries in a cabinet about expressive art and modern Japanese artists. 

The piece is currently accompanied by a print by Yoshia Tōshi (1911-1995) Where, 1972, coloured woodblock print, H58.3 x W43.2 cm. 

Hatakeyama's piece is also displayed alongside a book by Moriyama Daido (b.1938) Buenos Aires, 2005, paper, H30.7 x W22.4 cm.
